This plot shows the response at the ends of an inside-out anode plane with 16 strips, to an 1mA current spot injected between the end (0) and the center of the central strip (16).
Strips are coupled at the ends with an inductance of 30nH (not optimized, but probably not too far). This inductance has no effect on DC, so all strips are biased with the same DC voltage. The responses are uniform within +/-12%.
