Surgical cuts on clusters, e’s, and mu’s

I ran a job to count the number of clusters, soft electrons, and soft muons in the MC samples.  I split up the e’s and mu’s by charge.  I then added up all of the bins with S/B above a particular threshold. Here’s the plot of SNR vs. signal events for the three cut sets we’ve been looking at.  I’ll get Dan’s code for the fourth cut set (which includes an N(live) cut) and run that one too.

Cut Set 1 (the looser cluster-based cuts) looks the best out of these.  Here’s a list of the bins which have the best S/B: (there are many more bins (111-127) included in the best points in the above plot)

Keep in mind that the soft muons are still preliminary: they’re gen-level muons in the right Eta and Pt range.
