Soft Electron ID with CES Calibrations

I’ve finished the soft electron likelihood using Pasha’s CES calibrations.  Here are a few nice plots:

Some caveats about these plots:

  • These are only using the 0h data.  It looks like I’ve successfully finished the 0i calibrations, so the rest of the data should be forthcoming.
  • I don’t have tracking chamber dE/dx data for period 0h. (as in, every track has 0 stored in that variable) in later datasets, the dE/dx data will help with the separation at low Pt.
  • In the final plot above, the line for 4 < Pt < 5 looks strange.  This is because of low statistics; when I subtract the sideband conversions from the data, I end up with some regions where it seems that a negative number of electrons is expected.  This will look better as I add more data.
