After installing linux, you can add Chinese language support by installing these rpms:

kde-i18n-Chinese
ttfonts-zh_CN

For Japanese, the files are:

kde-i18n-Japanese
ttfonts-ja

The user will need to log out and back in for them to be available.

    In RHEL5, ttfonts-zh_CN is named fonts-chinese and ttfonts-ja is named fonts-japanese.
